Set Up:
There are four players set up in the attacking third. Two shooters are stationed on opposite sides of the field, with eight balls set up between them, 20-25 yards from goal. The shooters take turns finishing, starting on the outside and working their way into the center. The goalkeeper saves and re-adjusts his position with each shot, then switches out after four balls. The shooters move quickly, giving the goalkeepers just enough time to recover in between shots.
Coaching Points:
1. Come to a set position before the ball is struck, regardless of where you are.
2. Use small, quick steps to get across the penalty area.
3. Choose to catch or parry as early as possible. Parry hard shots from in close.
Progressions:
1. Add two players, crossing balls from the flanks.
